In January 2018, a Senate bill called the "Sports Betting Consumer Protection Act" was introduced. The draft bill could "authorize sports betting or electronic sports betting by an electronic sports betting patron or sports betting facility patron." Illinois saw several other sports betting bills introduced in 2018, too. Hearings were held about the various bills, but no formal vote has yet been taken.

Okay so let me get this straight they get casinos they get slot machines they get gaming platforms at race tracks but the state gets all the proceeds to fund schools 100% how is it people make money and if someone owns the casino how do they make money? How can it be 100% proceeds to school all the money is funneled to the state after expenses who benefits but the state.am I right

Don't misunderstand I'm glad they're going to pass it on to the governor's desk for him to sign two hurdles down but yet they will still have to build the casino and refit the racetrack for gaming platforms but that's not going to help the situation but 2019 for anybody that plays standardbreds this year sucks
