Doubt it. Lexington set a big number those two days and then the bottom fell out. Plus Harrisburg is set up different as they sell close to 500 hips during those first 2 days. Versus 276 at Lexington so that right there says not even close and can't compare the two for that reason alone.

No but you will have to pay to play the yearling game.

and the Chapter Seven's got more expensive at Harrisburg (or stayed at the same Lexington high prices) last night

a short 3rd year crop of 49 bred won the 2 year old filly trot (Woodside Charm) and 2 year old colt trot (Gympanzee) and both had unbeaten Muscle Hill like seasons

lots of people at the sale today looking

one consignor was super busy

looks like one change for this year, consignors may have been told to not put out much food, one consignor who had the best soups told me they were asked not to put out the spread this year

buyers like freebies, especially food

guess I'll eat at the hotel before I come over

Am not sure how, but those big purchases he made today seem fishy.  Someone is being fleeced.

No wonder Burke wins more races than the rest.    He spends an absolute fortune on yearlings.   Even a blind chicken finds a kernel of corn once in a while !!!

Agree with Anakin, something strange with prices of 47 & 60. Can’t be buybacks cause they were sold by hanover. Hanover doesn’t sell for private parties, and don’t buy back or race any horses they breed. Hanover first class operation, but still those 2 prices out of whack for some reason.

NJ The best

  • Trigger: Thanks Calhoun, GL to you too, big scores ahead!  Check out Mohawk last Sat early p5, $67891.89 .20 payout w/ 3 horses < 3-1 odds, the other 2 races, nw1 and claimers, wow, the perfect storm.

  • Calhoun: Trigger, $25k/$500per week. Sounds great. IMO, you have 2 best options. 1) 100% of play on certain CarryOvers.  Pick-5 Carryovers are best. Pro is Near EV or +EV. Con is it's a ton of work in 1 day at worst or 3/4 days at best. But $500 gets you a lot of coverage. ..2) Focus 100% on one track, WITHOUT a lot of ship Ins. Woodbine, Remington, SoCal and Texas fit. WDB and Rem closed/closing. Whichever you choose, you need to know every single horse. You MUST have access to workout videos. You need to learn trainers. Good Luck
