Once you have a USTA drivers and/or trainers license it doesn't matter after that. It's up to the individual states who they want to license. Many, many people have no usta card and still race. SOME states require one, other states do not.

I was referring to the other poster. You MUST get a USTA license BEFORE you can get any state to license you but AFTER you get one and are licensed by a state, it's up tp the state to renew your license or not. You don't need one after that. Sorry.
