Illinois racing is dead. Big fucking deal one day with a couple of stakes races Churchill will one day turn it into box stores or housing.

so, best card today anywhere from race 6 through 12. all the top jocks are there and fields are full. saratoga is crap and rain threatened. full of maiden races along with monmouth and woodbine also flawed today. you have to take these things as they come these days. AP today somewhere else next week. also zoot is at saratoga. enough reason not to bet or go there today.

Actually the weekend Saratoga cards were quite good, especially if you like Chad Brown firsters, off-track step-ups, and Spa specialists (Voodoo Song now 5 for 5 there, amazing 6-1 on that mammal).  Jose Ortiz popped up in Chicago and did nothing (to put it mildly), and I can't believe that even Tom Morley expected Carrick to beat Analyze It.

To be fair Jose Ortiz's horse was vanned off after the race.
