This is about driving the horses not training because heavy trainers are a good workout for the horse.
So we are watching the races yesterday and commenting on how big some of these drivers are at Hawthorne.
So one of the guys goes to the kiosk where the driver's weight is listed and writes it down.
We all put in a dollar and guessed the amount.
The lowest guess was 250.
And judging by the size on the tv 250 seemed low.
The listed weight was 220!
No friggin way that was the correct weight!
We get it that most of the heavier guys are not catch drivers but when was the last time some of them have seen 220?
