Very sad news! But, what may be worse is what it says about our society when we care more about horses than people. It is very tragic but to suggest that it should have been Dean instead of the horses is just sick. For as much of a distasteful person he may be as a horseman, he still has a family, a wife and daughter who love him and rely on him. And how about any concern for the grooms who nearly lost their lives trying to save these horses?!?

What this individual has gotten away with in this sport and still be allowed to participate on any level is mind blowing. If this story is true and some of the horses were his.....that is unfortunate. But the sheer chemical abuse that has been placed on these animals over time now has stopped and they are in animal heaven. Just the mere sight of this guys name in anything harness related is sick in so many ways and on so many levels. RIP beautiful creatures.
