breed speed to speed and cover up the deficiencies of such offspring with meds and you get a fragile product: spindly legs

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS OCCURING..NO DIFFERENT ON THIS SIDE EITHER.

LUCKILY I did not see anywhere CLOSE to the catastrophic breakdowns at the standardbreds as I did the t-bred.

At Woodbine (and their totals are relatively LOW compared to the number of races held) we would get anywhere from 5 to 15 per month, whereas in 7 years of following the standards at a bull ring and the main Woodbine oval, I saw 4 IN TOTAL. Now this does not mean that injuries did not SHOW UP later, but at least the specter of someone having to witness pitiful attempts to get up often accompanying loud screams from the downed animal were NOT that often.

Also, the gaits of both standardbred runners do NOT create the same force [Force=(mass)(acceleration)], starting out with less mass, less speed and a wider distribution of forces on two limbs almost simultaneously. When the thoroughbred is fully extended in a gallop each forelimb carries almost the entire load for a few seconds before the other comes down. Little wonder sesamoids, splints, pasterns and overall increases in foreleg problems plagues  that breed.

IF JUGHEADS WENT THAT FAST YOU WOULD SEE SIMILAR NUMBERS GAIT NOTWITHSTANDING
