It time to trade in your race bikes and breed thoroughbreds you only have about 10 years and racing will be done.

isn't t-bred's training costs much more than sulky guys? and they only go once a month or so, doesn't add up to me unless i'm missing something...

PURSES FOR EVEN MAIDENS CAN GO FOR 60K+
AND TRAINING COST ARE 85 TO 125 A DAY AVERAGE.....LITTL E EQUIPMENT TO EVER PAY FOR ALSO

Breeding T Breds is where the money is. I have a mare who we bought as a 2year old and raced her until she was 6. She won 6 races and 220k during that time and she basically about broke even. We retired her and started breeding her. Her foals have sold for $200k (10k stud fee), $55k (10k stud fee), $27k (6k stud fee), $160k (35k stud fee). She currently has a Mineshaft weanling colt and is in foal to Lemon Drop Kid
Cost to keep a mare and foal from birth to yearling sale time is between 15 and 20k
Her last race was a 10 claimer at FL. Glad no one claimed her
