 It wasnt long ago that drivers had the balls to not tip in the stretch until it was too late, but people got so pissed off the tracks did something about it. Notice you rarely see that anymore ?  The least the drivers can do is go dead last and stay there until its too late or take a closer and burn it up on the front end. Tracks have to monitor , fine and suspend for lack of effort or inconsistant drives, especially at tracks with big purses because they dont want to get booted and have to leave that track.
