Nobody wanted to win R6 at Monti
« on: February 24, 2026, 02:57:05 PM »
On a day that most races went anywhere from :56-:58 let’s go to race 6
Non Winners of 1.

After a blistering opening 1/4 in 31.2 and off a heart stopping half of 1:04.1 the meadows invader trying to fall down around the 3rd turn came first up in a mind boggling 31.0 third quarter clearing to a 3 length lead. With a death grip going into the last turn and stretch drive, with no choice they had to win by a half length in 2:06.1.

I love watching races that look like they are from 1974 when it’s 2026.

  • dougie: Trigger, I enjoyed the "winter Capital Of Harness Racing" at goo d old Pompano Park. Was a shame they closed it. I was there at least 2 nights a week. I'm old enough to remember quster horse racing there. A lot of cowboy hats and Frye boots. LOL!
