Yonkers business;
Queens;
Steve Cohen's casino will keep customers off the expensive Whitestone and Throgs Neck bridges, sorry Yonkers
Nassau County;
Runs through Queens
Swamp;
Few New Jersey customers will pass The Bronx for Yonkers anymore
New York City;
Gotta pass The Bronx before they get to Westchester!

Yonkers should lose a minimum of 40% of its business and possibly 60%

purses may be like they were pre-casino

it was a good run and it ends when these new casino's are up and running

I thought when the Aqueduct casino opened that Yonkers did a weak job marketing to their Brooklyn/Queens/Long Island customers to continue trekking to YR.
They should have been aggressive with their free play and free food mailings to keep them coming back instead of going to the more convenient Big A.

BTW - I thought the Yonkers casino was ghetto until I visited Aqueduct....holy fuck

True!  Could you summarize what harness tracks are, in this general sense?  It has to be doubly colorful and pathetic, because it is at least that.

I have these visions.

If harness racing was to ever be saved, it needs to be killed in its current form.

Then resurrected without the corruption.

I could see horses coming from all over the world racing in a coliseum type setting.  Big money purses and pools, and a new generation of participants.

In the meantime it's dicks shooting dust, and no warm winter climate racing is dumbfounding, but deserving.

I always look at Aqueduct heading west . I forgot that heading east, Aqueduct borders Brooklyn neighborhoods like East New York,, Bed Stuy, Cypress Hills, Bushwick.....
