Doug McNair
« on: May 31, 2025, 08:54:30 PM »
We made the trip today to Mohawk,
I’ve watched Doug drive 2 so far on the lead with his hand holds so far back that it doesn’t seem like he has control. Is that and advantage or disadvantage?

Seriously, you're going to blame that race on him?
You don't think it might have had something to do with the rediculous travel schedule the horse endured just to get there.   If the owners and trainer really wanted to be in that race, the horse should have been in the country 2 weeks minimum before the race.

According to the article I believe the horse was there for some time at Bernie’s farm it says,,,,,,I do recall the McNairs being banned from GURAL tracks due to using PEDS so you know that didn’t help at the ellitlopp

Harnesspower  ...   you are correct.

"The two-time O’Brien Award divisional champion and fastest Canadian-sired trotter arrived in Sweden on May 12 and was greeted by a familiar face from the Fellows family stable after his long journey shipping from his Rockwood, Ont. base to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, then flying overnight to Frankfurt, Germany and travelling two days by truck to Tråvad, Sweden."

There is no way a horse responds well to this travel schedule.
