Bulldog's first 2 crops on the way!
« on: November 30, 2024, 01:41:50 PM »
BULLDOG HANOVER will stand at Seelster Farms in Ontario Canada in 2025 for a stud fee of $15,000 (USD).  All rights and obligations begin with the 2025 breeding season. He bred 177 mares in 2023 and 135 mares in 2024.---------312 potential foals in only 2 seasons and how many will actually be any good?

He also bred nearly 80 mares in 2022, resulting in 54 foals, some sold this year. Seemed pretty well-received.

They looked the part but so did a ton of TDS's. We will see if everybody will love them in a month.

I'm interested to see what kind of sire Bulldog Hanover is.
He raced on all sized tracks.

Bulldog should be ok sire.  TDS never raced on anything below 7/8's his entire life!  He was a distant memory had Papi Rob not broken down.  We see who is the better sire and no one can say Papi got all the mares either!

  • Trigger: Very good analysis Calhoun, moreso from my perspective that Albin Jimenez was suspended and the #2 ride was really suspicious and overooked.  Is it possible that there is action equal to far greater outside mutual pools worldwide?

  • Calhoun: That tri pool was $4500. Net of takeout $3300.  Out of 60 possible outcomes, the result was  5th most likely out of 60 (using win odds to calc). Paid 14 to 1. Doesn't seem awful. It also would have been bet pretty good by the genpop. Maybe rigged for the 3 to win but the tri? I think not too likely.

  • Trigger: The race that everyone is talking about where Jimenez #1 stiffs his horse to finish behind the #3 his gf, but no one mentions the #2 (Lebron) and how he stiffed to be behind Jimenez.  To set up the 312 tri watch the stretch. [link]
