Neither - both come from bad pedigree!

I agree both of them are talented, put there horse in position to win. Luke might be more aggressive of the two.

Brad Hanners trained and drove for me and did great with every horse that I sent him. Only once when Coerfurst was 3-5 at Harrington did he give me the I chocked him behind the gate story. Bob Myers horse was bet down to the 2-1 second choice and was easily next best. Myers was his man. Brad was as good of a trainer as he was a driver.

Brad never trained anything when he was in Ohio.  He always had someone else training them for him.  Granted he took all the credit but he never got out of bed before noon.

You didn't see Brad drive at Pompano in the 90's.  He had the 'gumption' to chase Wallis around the track when Wallis had a lot more horsepower than Hanners.  I watched them roll to a sub 56 half.  Also, Hanners didn't have the quality of stock down at Pompano compared to many others!

I don't think I would put either on my Mt. Rushmore of drivers but they both are above average.   Austin did a good job in winning with my horse this year.
