(1) Grew up in CHICAGO: Lived in a GERMAN,POLISH neighborhood. Went to a catholic grade school first 3 years. No AFRICAN AMERICANS in that school.
(2) My DAD saw a oppurtunity to move out of CHICAGO. Moved to CARPENTERSVILLE. No down payment for VETS to buy a new home in a new subdision . The place was called MEADOWDALE. All VETS from city jumped at it. Located 40 miles northwest of CHICAGO. The community was all WHITE back then. Went thru 4th thru 8 grade in public school. Not one AFRO-AMERICAN in any classes.
(3) Then went to high school at ST.EDWARDS in ELGIN, ILLINOIS. NO afro-americans there either.
Call me protected. NO ever any interaction.
(4) Then came ARMY. For the first time I was introduced to thos of other color. Some were LAZY,no different than alot of my white boy friends over years. But most just like myself. No different and weeesees became great friends. The service breaks down those hatreds. You would understand if you served.
I only had one encounter with a mostly black gatherin after I exited. And that because I was doin a research paper for JESSE JACKSON'S boycott of CHICAGO FEST right outside entrance. But I posted about that before. Don't regret anythin that happened except scarin the shit out of ANDREA and her feinting.

So,JOHN FRANK ARMY will conclude with 2 thins.
