There's no such thing as a Canadian. They are just Americans with free health care & no guns.

And no tax on gambling profits.

And pay double in taxes

I know you can't always trust the info when you google something but I googled what the highest federal personal tax rate was in both USA & Canada & in Canada the top federal tax rate is 33% compared to the USA at 37%.

At least in Ontario you pay 13% sales tax on most everything including labor charges

But I was told if you have an HST number which I was told is easy to get, you are refunded all the 13% that you paid out?

Yes. We pay HST on horses, bills, etc but claim it all back.
We collect HST when horses are claimed, but must remit it to the government.

Can you claim it back for gas, clothing car purchase and repairs?  And everything else that is not a business expense

Just to clarify something --I'm a Canadian & I have 3 registerd long guns that are perfectly legal in Canada.

Try googling Canadian Federal Tax Rates & you will find the highest rate is 33%. I took a screenshot but don't know how to add it to this forum. Maybe you are referring to the Federal & Provincial combined rate? I think as in the USA with State taxes, each Province has their own rates? In my original post I was comparing only each countries Federal tax rate.
