How did Chester get so fast?
« on: May 28, 2023, 08:53:14 PM »
Serious question ... Did they resurface or something?  Chester has always been a relatively slow 5/8 especially compared to Pocono.  Today was insane.
7 1st quarters sub 26  five more 26.2 or better.
56 horses paced 1 50 or better 7 more at 1.50.1

Lost track of how many track and world records they set ... I think 4

Even before today I had been noticing that they were going faster than ever at that track with a ton of sub 50 miles.

So ... anybody know anything?

A couple weeks ago when I warmed up the base was pretty hard but had a decent layer on top

My guess , that layer was taken off for today As well as the entire weekend
