Who cares about average or median?  It's all about the individual.   Surdicks juiced up breeders crown winners first foal went for 140 grand and they bred Always B Miki TO HIS MOTHER and got 200.   Talk about inbred.  Wonder if the other horses in the paddock talk behind his back.  ;D

Father Patrick like any well received new stud the best mares in a three yr rotation. Breeders get two cycles in without having any crop numbers to alter prices so those first two years are good for the breeder. The third will depend on how those first two crops fare on the track. By time the rotation ends new sires hit the market and those mares are off to the new ones. Cantab Hall has been a stud for as long as I can remember over 1100 foals bred. I see his last couple crops averaged over 60k and for this one to get more then a 50% cut is a bit odd since he is the best sire getting horses onto the track and averaging over 50k and still possible over 100k at 24%. He has been a pillar of stability as far as a site goes with longevity in a sport that will turn you aside if there is no production.
