I thought tracks keep 50% and the other 50% goes to purses? that would make it  25k to purses? or about $2000 purses starting next week if they can continue to handle 1 million per night.
You are correct , Porky. And 5% would be on the high end.

 Lokk , there are two components that make up the greatest share of the pie when it comes to making a successful racing meet. One is the backing from the state the other is a expertly crafted market plan from management. Currently, neither party has the slightest interest in horse racing. Racing for OTB only is a disaster plan. Unfortunately, it is the only plan.
