YES: the convicted felon's $10 billion lawsuit against the BBC is blowing up in his face.
The network subpoenaed former special counsel Jack Smith for a deposition, and Smith isn't objecting. He spent years investigating Trump's push to overturn the 2020 election, and the BBC argues he has evidence that never made it into his public report.
Trump's lawyers are fighting it, claiming Smith "lacks any personal knowledge" of the case.

To win a defamation case over a January 6 documentary, he has to prove he did not incite the January 6 riot. That puts the riot itself on trial, and that's exactly where Smith comes in.
As the BBC's lawyers bluntly reminded the court, "No one forced Plaintiff to file this lawsuit."
Smith concluded there was strong evidence that Trump caused the violence at the Capitol and used it to push his plot to overturn the election. But when he testified publicly, he refused to name witnesses or say where his evidence came from, citing grand jury secrecy.
The BBC argues he can answer those questions in a deposition.
If a judge agrees, evidence Smith gathered behind closed doors could end up in the court record, in a case Trump started himself.
It gets better. Trump was supposed to sit for his own deposition last week. He canceled, citing "matters of national importance," and his lawyers now say he's unavailable on any date before discovery closes.
A federal judge has already warned him he could face sanctions.
The BBC is also asking a judge to unseal rulings from Smith's investigation, where courts rejected Trump's executive privilege claims in five sealed cases covering 14 witnesses. He's now making the exact same claims to keep those witnesses away from the BBC.
The Coward-in-Chief filed this lawsuit to punish a news outlet. Now he's the one hiding from questions under oath.
