Katie Zacharia calls herself a lawyer. A lot. “I’m a lawyer,” she told Greg Kelly just last week, and Fox News has labeled her one on screen at least 18 times since March 2025.
When Trump picked her, he called her “an attorney.”
But Popular Information found no record she has ever been admitted to practice law. Anywhere.
That includes California, where she lives, and Texas and D.C., where she’s worked.
Popular Info checked all 50 states plus D.C. and found nothing.
A law degree doesn’t make you a lawyer. Getting admitted to the bar does.
When Popular Info asked the White House point-blank, its entire response was: “Refer you to the President’s TRUTH on Katie.”
So reporters asked her directly today. She never said where she took the exam. The résumé gets stranger from there: She listed herself as “General Counsel” (an organization’s top lawyer) for Ric Grenell’s nonprofit Fix California, and kept the title in her X bio until July.
IRS filings show she never drew a salary there. She was paid $27,367 in fundraising commissions.
She has also said she was “outside counsel” to the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation as a fresh law grad in Beijing.
A June press release from a mining company she joined described something far narrower: work on “matters involving organizations associated with” them.
And on Sunday, Popular Information analyzed nearly 2,700 of her Truth Social posts to find those. The theory also claims those same elites were trafficking children.
If she’s a lawyer, we need more evidence your honor.
