Trump mobile

"WE HAVE NO TEAM TO HANDLE THIS" — Trump Mobile faces STUNNING alleged data breach as hackers claim 3,615 customers had their information exposed.
The disaster that is Trump Mobile just got even worse, according to tech publication PCMag.
The company that promised Americans a patriotic phone plan and a gold-colored phone may have just lost their personal information to a hacking gang with a very on-the-nose name.
A group called BYOD says it stole data on 3,615 Trump Mobile customers and posted it on the dark web. The file allegedly includes names, phone numbers, email addresses, and home addresses. According to the hackers, when Trump Mobile was told about the breach, it replied "We have no team to handle this," and added that anyone who hacks them is "a terrorist." Trump Mobile and Liberty Mobile, the Florida carrier that reportedly powers its service, haven't responded to requests for comment.
This doesn't look like a bluff. PCMag reached three people in the leaked file, and all three confirmed they had dealt with Trump Mobile. One was stunned that the file accurately showed she had canceled her "30 Day Unlimited Talk Text Data" plan. Another customer said she never successfully signed up at all, because the company wouldn't sell her a phone since her email was "already in their system." Her verdict on customer service: it "sucked." Yet her information still ended up in the leak.
The hackers say they got in by planting a Remote Access Trojan on a Liberty Mobile employee's computer, then pivoted to Trump Mobile subdomains. They also claim "live access" to what appears to be the TrumpMobile.com dashboard.
And this isn't the first red flag. In May, two YouTubers warned of an exploitable flaw on TrumpMobile.com that could expose customers' private data. Trump Mobile fixed it and said it found no evidence its systems were compromised. Last month, a different group, Endzone, claimed to have stolen data on 4,000 Trump Mobile users. BYOD says it has no affiliation, though a member "just knows a few people behind Endzone."
To be clear, BYOD's claims aren't fully verified, and it's unclear exactly how the data was obtained. But the pieces that PCMag could check held up.
This is the brand that promised a Trump-branded phone “Made in America”, then delivered delays and, per an iFixit teardown, a rebadged HTC made in China. Now customers are being told, allegedly, that nobody's minding the store.
When your own customers' home addresses end up on the dark web, and the response is "we have no team," that's not a security plan. That's a sign on the door.
Still, anyone stupid enough to trust any company associated with Donald Trump with their personal data shouldn’t be surprised at the outcome.
Horseplop isn’t a popularity contest!!
