Balmoral Park 21 LLC is a real estate holding company owned by southwest suburban businessman Radomir Dobrasinovic. The entity is primarily known for purchasing the historic, 200-acre Balmoral Park racetrack property (located at 26435 S Dixie Hwy in Crete, Illinois) out of bankruptcy. You can track local zoning, planning commission developments, and property news using the Village of Crete Official Website or view detailed regional reporting on the Chicago Tribune.A breakdown of the company and the Balmoral Park property's status:The Property AcquisitionPurcha se: Dobrasinovic purchased the former Balmoral harness racing track—which was later converted into an equestrian facility—to utilize the sprawling space for his regional trucking and transport companies.Initial Proposals: Soon after the 2021 purchase, Balmoral Park 21 LLC sought approval from the Crete Township Plan Commission to use sections of the 200-acre property for truck-related parking and intermodal operations.Zoning Pushback: The proposal to park semi-trucks on the site met with local resistance from nearby residents and the township, stalling the rezoning of the land.
