PcD on 6/12/2018 FINED: $5,000 FULL - 90 DAYS, 12/1/2018 THRU 2/28/2019 POSSESSION OF HYPODERMIC NEEDLES, SYRINGES AND/OR INJECTABLE AND/OR OTHER DRUGS
PA Code 58-183.362 .336 During a vehicle search on 6/12/18 on the backstretch at Pocono Downs Mr. Faurot`s vehicle was found to have several syringes(27)which were improperly marked. There were also 4 injectable bottles. Mr Faurot is fined $10,000.00 and suspended for 365 days starting on 6/28/18. Mr. Faurot was also racing with a conditional license which states that if he violates any terms or conditions of the agreement, his license may be suspended or revoked. As of 6/28/18 his PA license is revoked. During this suspension he and all horses owned and trained by him are barred from all grounds under the jurisdiction of The State Horse Racing Commission. Also during this time he may not transfer any horses owned or trained by him without the approval of the judges at Pocono Downs or The State Horse Racing Commission. He can appeal this decision in writing within 10 days of notice of this decision as set forth in PA Code 58-183.404(a). The address for an appeal is:2301 N. Cameron St.
Status as of 10/25/2018 - Subsequent Ruling - Ruling #18056C Pursuant to an agreement between the State Horse Racing Commission, Bureau of Standardbred Horse Racing and Clayton Faurot Jr., and in consideration of the withdrawal of his appeal of the Pocono Downs Board of Judges Ruling No. 18053PD, the ruling is hereby modified as follows: Mr. Faurot will pay a fine of $5,000.00 which is due no later than February 28, 2019. Mr. Faurot will also serve a 90-day suspension beginning December 1, 2018 through and including February 28, 2019.
