What have you enjoyed in harness racing?
« on: July 17, 2025, 01:22:51 AM »
For me as a 13-year-old teenager making a first time bet and cashing on my friend's dad's horse and paying 10.80

A good reason to get hooked on racing!

Later on in life, owning quite a few horses and even being a breeder on one too!

This is only a small sample of what I've done in the business.

Looking for other true experiences from others!

The glory days on a Sunday afternoon matinee card at Monticello on a warm sunny day in the summer.

I was there one Sunday afternoon and the unthinkable happened. The legendary Joe Ricco Jr. got DQed out of a win for bulling out of a hole in the final turn. We thought that he was untouchable at Monti.

I'll go one level down from enjoy as my feelings currently.

I understand it better than other wagering options, I do look forward to some match-ups, stakes races and where there is typically a solid effort as the big money is on the line.

As a kid though ditching school, smoking weed and doing a harness racing matinee was fun.

I enjoy the horses and when they give a good effort.
