Dumbest Gambler you ever met
« on: January 16, 2025, 05:27:05 PM »
I am amazed at the number of old POS's at the race track who refuse to buy a program and simply play numbers or who the favorite is.  I watched one guy today at Monmouth Park talking to himself nonstop and when I got near the televisions he asked me if the program was doing me any good.  I replied that if you are playing the races without a program, you shouldn't be betting since you have more money than brains.  He proceeded to give me a rant about his grandfather who won millions just playing numbers and never used a program.

I walked away since I didn't want my sneakers to get covered up in bullshit.  He continued to talk to himself hoping someone would pay attention to him which didn't happen.  I guess this is the state of the union now in horse racing and I should get used to it.

To each their own. I myself appreciate these kinds of betters.  They put in “dummy money” and I’ll take my share of it.  I have a few fun bets I do. Whatever horse I bet I get an exacta “inside out”. If I bet the seven I get  a 2.00 exacta.  7w6,8.  Just to throw away 4.00.  I can tell you it’s exciting and all for fun PLUS I have hit quite a few Large ones.

Unfortunately for the serious or semi serious player that type of gambler is dying out from tracks and OTBs and being replaced by sophisticated computer programming.

If there was a smart one the casinos and race tracks would be closed.
Not to be confused with HAKU.
