I'm not a horseman. I'm a handicapper and fan concerned with the rise and fall of American harness racing. Mark has not been good for the credibility of the sport. He was particularly egregious at Rosecroft. The public believes the races are fixed and that's been the death nell of the sport, and Mark has not done anything to dispel that phenomenon.

Maybe you become an owner and see things from the inside.  Maybe, just maybe you might get a different perspective on this.

Someday the welfare will end. Maybe you sir will have a different prospective when a racetrack has to survive with 10 fans and anemic pools.

You already have “anemic pools” at quite a few tracks!!  Your point is??

Gamblers are aware of the history of cheating and don't care about any owners or your own perspective that includes condoning it

FYI, many owners, drivers, and trainers are aware of the history of “cheating”.  Look at the big scandals at Yonkers/Roosevelt many years ago at the betting windows!
A curious question—do owners bet money into the pools today??

As there is not enough money in the pools to ‘make a score’ today, many owners and trainers turn to “therapeutic” ways to enhance their checkbooks. Just a different version of ‘cheating’!

FYI, it already ended at Pompano Park 2.5 years ago and this was the beginning. Purses are down at Harrah’s Philadelphia, Harrah’s Hoosier Park, and Pocono Downs from years ago too.
