dougie: A vacation after Labor Day is the best time. Here in Maine, 90% of the tourists go home. Weather is still great, but Fall comes early here. LOL! Prices drop and the crowds are small.As for the ocean here, water temps at at about 60 degrees. LOL!

JT: Weather and water extremely warm. They are renourishing the beach as we speak. Over 20 homes fell into the ocean last year. Pretty sad

Kirby's Ace: JT..Been to Buxton NC numerous times. Go for the fishing. Caught a few Red Drums off the surf. Fall is by far best time to go. Stayted at the Lighthouse View about 5 times. Good Luck
