US FUNDING PUTINS INSURRECTION
« on: February 26, 2022, 10:33:37 AM »

We purchase 538,000 barrels of Russian oil a day. At $100/barrel that’s $53,800,000 in hard currency a day-money that is directly subsidizing Putin’s insurrection on Ukraine. Cut off Russia now

Surprised that old Joe hasn't consulted Hunter.  After all, wasn't he an oil exec in Ukraine?  Not to mention, Pelosi and Kerry both have kids in the energy biz.  HEY?  wait one darned minute?

  • dougie: IIB, I think the mayor will sign the bill if it reaches his desk. The optics on this issue is bad for the horse carriage industry. Animal activists are adept to using the media to enlist horror and anger by the public.

  • Ignorance Is Bliss: It's now a bill with city council. Public hearings will be scheduled then the council votes on it. If passed it's sent to the Mayor to sign into law. He has already said he's in. Marte just took over, Bob Holden is the actual author of the bill who retired last year.

  • dougie: IIB, I have been reading some of the work Councilman Marte has been doing on this issue. I think he might be successful with passing the 'Ryders Law" Bill this time around. The image of the horse dead on the street has even been seen here everywhere. If the animal activists can get this on the ballot, who knows how the vote will go.
