flamboro race #2 nov 22
« on: November 23, 2020, 03:26:18 PM »
i dont usually do this and yes i lost about $20 as i keyed this horse in the pick 5 but that is not the point of this
go watch  the  5 horse  ( mr john)driven by brett macdonald
he is 1/9 and for good reason, at least 3 seconds faster against a field that cant win a race
gets away second and has 1/2 mile to retake to the top but refuses and finally gets buried and shuffled to finish fourth

agco report from the judges..."all clear"
watch it, it is laughable

A little context for those who don't know.

I was a N/W 5000 lifetime.

8 horses total 5 horses had no lifetime wins.

2 horses had a win each in 2:01 and 2:02.1

Mr. John a 2 year old wins his qualifier in 1:57.4 at Woodbine

Breaks in his 1st start at Flamboro as prohibited favorite.

Wins his 2nd start in 1:56.0 at Flamboro wire to wire!   :27.4 :57.4  1:26.4  1:56.0

Goes off at 1/9, buries him in the 2hole, refuses to pull with 3/4's in 1:30 then gets locked in and shuffled around final turn with the mile going in 2:01.1

Brett Macdonald should be suspended.

On the bright side J Bradley Harris wins on a Joe H Pereira rat and pays $66.40 to win.

Pereira"s horse Lyons Dukie's 5 lifetime lines in order:

11/15   5th by 13   32.1  2:03.3
11/1     6th by 15   32.3  2:02.3
10/25   6th by 9     30.3  2:01.2
10/13   8th by 9     29.2  2:00.0
9/27     6th by 15   30.2  1:59.4

Why not just ask him on Twitter? He already explained what happened there. No need to cry on here.

thank you for posting
i count about 50 seconds from the time mcdonald lets the 7 clear him to when he could have retaken, you would think in that amount of time a couple of brain cells would have connected and he would come out
apparently there was an explanation posted by the driver on twitter so i guess all good
artsplace please post the twitter response for all to see, unfortunately i cannot as i am not in the habit of following harness drivers ( especially b track drivers) on twitter

Bret Macdonald gave his excuses on Twitter! :1 ngc3 ngc3

What? Too much coke before the race? 43xc.2

Of course he made up excuses, this horse will win his next start by 10 at 1/9.

Cheating drivers screw owners looking to sell a 2 year old horse off a hot start. :1

Forget those small pools if he had crushed again in a decent mile somebody would have made a decent offer.

"Retard on the front I remove mine he takes me down the half in 57 in the mud , he made a break two starts ago on the same kind of track"

That's a bullshit excuse. Why not pull down the back and slowly grind ? 11.wp

first of all I agree re flamboro, we should all avoid it and yes horses are not the best
but the point is on a relative basis, bad horses or not it was a egregious  stiff notwithstanding the snow flurries or whatever
