I was flipping thru youtube and ran across a series of posts entitled "part 1 - my life as a Chicago harness trainer".

there were 9 segments, all rather lengthy, and all rants about every aspect of racing in Chicago from the race office to the drivers.


they all pronounced him, dan nantz, to be a superstar improving every horse he touched to how unfairly he was treated by the rest of the industry, drivers to racing office.


I raced in Chicago for 3years when he and his brother scott were training there. I never got to know them but I knew they had a lot of success. after I returned to the east coast, I heard they had been implicated in a drugging scandal involving m-99.


dan came across as deranged in these videos. what was the bottom line on him and the scandal?

nobody could strut around like the 2nd coming like Dan when the m--99 shots were flowing.

only when they got caught nobody like Dan could deny it all and blame everyone else but infer he would've won all those juiced up races anyway with sheer training talent.

Scotty was the real trainer. his horsemanship skills were better than Dan's.

Dan was always better at playing victim and crying the blues.
