dougie: I think that people should applaud anyone interested in the welfare of horses. Carriage or racing horses. To this day, I've never understood the venom spewed against a guy who seems to want to clean up racing. Some might question his motive for his advocacy. But why would anyone care if the result benefits the horses? If you attack the "messenger' in a cause, shouldn't the detractors have a valid reason why they attack him. Or is it only personable. I never met Mike. But I think his wanting to do the right thing is admirable.
