Hawthorne needs to go. Can't even get a casino open in all this time. Racing in Illinois has no future. There is no interest and has not been for years. The state should not subsidize the grifters and fools that are left.

This is why homer and Connie left Chicago. But for the people who stayed, at least they get Springfield and not many people I know even bet on Hawthorne harness so it works out good. There are only 5-7 horses in each race anyway. Illinois harness went to total trash after the Hochstetlers left.
