I HAVE PREACHED FOR MANY YEARS THAT THE HORSEMAN NEEDED AN ADVISOR OR CONSULTANT TO HELP DIRECT THE INDUSTRY TO BENEFIT LONG TERM. THERE HAS BEEN HUGE SUMS OF MONEY THAT HAS BEEN RECYCLED BACK TO SO FEW WHEN THE LARGE SUMS OF MONEY SHOULD HAVE BE REDIRECTED TO THE INDUSTRY AND ALL PARTIES INVOLVED. IN FACT THE CONSULTANTS COULD HAVE DONE A INVESTMENT/ HEDGE THAT COULD HAVE PURCHASED TRACKS, CASINOS, SLOTS, PROPERTY, FARMS, STALLIONS, ETC. THERE IS NO REASON WHY A FUND TO BENEFIT THE HORSEMAN DID NOT PURCHASE THE MEADOWLANDS FOR ETERNITY!

MANY WILL THINK I AM CRAZY BUT THE OPPORTUNITY WAS THERE AND STILL IS!!! TOO MANY TOOK A LARGE PROPORTION OF THE FREE MONEY ---WITH NO LONG TERM VISION OF THE INDUSTRY!!

FOLKS THE WINDFALL THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED IS SCARY!!!

THEREFORE, WE CANNOT CRY ABOUT THOSE WHO SAW OPPORTUNITY BUT WE SHOULD CRY OVER THE LOST OPPORTUNITIES THAT WAS PRESENTED AND NEVER TAKEN ADVANTAGE!!!!

I beg to differ, sir. I care greatly about this issue. Decoupling is the greatest thing to happen to harness racing. It is needed so harness racing can stand on its own two feet. Welfare is not needed for criminal scum that infest harness racing. Decoupling will eliminate the welfare, and make the whoresmen have to race for what the so called sport generates. That's the American way.

Ohio will have sports betting as soon as this fall..... 0% goes to horse racing.
