I got nothing against the guy, but a typical I failed so the sport must be the problem type of person. Iceman just walk away, you either failed or it just didn’t work out for some reason. The delay in bringing this Mutt's case to a close is most likely because he is not done testifying. The Feds keep you around for as long as you are useful to them.

It all depends how much the Feds value his commitment to rat and testify. As well as how many cases they close with his cooperation.

None of these rat bastards have the stones to clam up and do the time. Oaks took a plea deal for 1 year. The Vet who took a plea the other day, did so to avoid incarceration.
She must also sing her song anytime the Fed's call on her. Same deal for that tough guy, Oaks. He needs to testify for the Feds when demand.

After extensive interviews of all employees that were current, past, and all other associated with Surrick, stories matched up long and far that no horses were ever killed. Correct. As soon as you walk into prison and get assisgned to a unit someone will ask to see your paperwork. The paperwork will show a 5k departure which is a reduction in sentence for either cooperating or illness. Once someone sees this on your paperwork you will not be allowed in that unit. Most likely you will be thrown in a cell and have the shit beat out of you as the CO turns his head. It all depends where they put you based on your crime. It goes probation,house arrest,camp,low,medium,high, pen
However, even though this is his first offense, and not a bad one, they also factor in the money factor. How much he robbed. The higher the amount the more serious placement could begin. So, he could be at a camp or a low like Ft Dix but he could go to a medium which does not have the dormatory setting.

PLEASE RECALL THAT NO ONE INVOLVED IN THE CASE CAN BE HOUSED AT THE SAME FACILITY. SO IF THESE FOLKS ARE ALL FROM ERSEY OR NEW YORK OR PA.---THEY CANNOT GO TO THE SAME FACILITY. FURTHER, A JUDGE WILL RECOMMEND TO PLACE THESE FOLKS AT A FACILITY CLOSEST TO THEIR FAMILIES AND IT NOW MUST BE WITHIN 500 MILES OF THEIR HOME AS REQUIRED BY THE FIRST STEP ACT THAT WAS SIGNED INTO LAW ON DECEMBER 30, 2018.
IN FACT THIS LAW MAY IN FACT SAVE SOME OF THESE FOLKS JAIL TIME IF THIS IS THEIR FIRST CONVICTION. IT ALSO STATES VERY CLEARLY THAT LOW AND CAMPERS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR HOME CONFINEMENT. THE ISSUE SO FAR WITH THE FIRST STEP ACT AS IT HAS BE SLOW TO BE IMPLEMENTED DUE TO THE COVID ISSUES.
