What the fuck difference do it make? You don't get paid by it. Damn , no wonder this sport is dying. The people who work in it are as dumb as boxes of rocks

makes a big difference when you put WIJI 5-2 on ML trying to convince most of the betting audience outside of Dover, Delaware to bet on him perhaps so you can get a price on another horse if your an inside odds maker.
The computer habitually sucks, so just wondering if someone inside there trying to deceive the betting public... That's what difference it makes..

All different people are in charge of the morning line depending on the track! Some race offices use the morning line to try and convince owners and trainers that they have not buried their horses! I've had legitimate 50-1 horses show a morning line of 6-1!
