Not true about Monti. It actually strengthens their position. Genting bought out Empire to gain ownership of casino near Woodbury Commons. Racing is safe.
How do you figure? Genting is the largest anti-racing lobby in New York State. Racing hurts their profit with NYRA and it will still help provide for more losses in the Catskills. They are a casino company first and foremost.

I don't think they are as powerful as you may think. There is growing sentiment by many NY legislatures that many casinos are failing due to the casinos being over run by Asians. Genting, being an Asian corporation may not have the leverage to control NY gaming.
Who told you that nonsense? If there's a shred of truth to that then the state legislators are dumber than the stripes on Dalrae's froot of the looms. If it weren't for the asians(who are bigger degenerate gamblers than anyone on this forum) Resorts Catskills and del Lago would have locked the doors already. Racing is safe for now but don't think Genting's team isn't paying attention to the decoupling situation in Florida.

Not nonsense. Casinos are flooded with Asians who are there only for the incentives offered to show up. Many are not gambling at all. Instead, they sell their incentives. Read it and weep know it all.

Been there, seen it, done that. Casinos hate it but it's the cost of getting the whales in the casino. The Sands has 26 bacarrat tables. They need the asians otherwise they're wasting a whole shit ton of space. Since when does the NYS legislature care about people who aren't being honest with their intentions in a casino? They built that casino to bus in the Asians. They have 21 baccarat games. The Asians are NOT what's bankrupting Resorts World Catskills, the overhead and interest on the heavily financed $1.2 billion IS. That PA article was cute. What they failed to mention was that they all have multiple ID's and get multiple free play cards.

The biggest overhead is promoting the casino. The place is mobbed with people and is losing millions and the reason is the people aren't actually gambling. I guarantee they will modify their marketing to remedy this. Their business model was not to bus in non gambling Asians, it was to attract affluent people from the city for mini getaways. That is why they built a luxury hotel, updated the Concord golf course, linked the casino to ski resorts and built a water park.
The state pushed all that shit on them as they foolheartedly thought the casino could bring back the glory days of the Catskills. The marketing budget pales in comparison in what they're paying in just interest. Now that the gaming numbers suck they're in trouble. It's common knowledge that Moody's isn't enthused. Apparently no one paid attention to REVEL'S failure.

One thing that cracks me up is Andy bent the rules to give the casinos to the people he wanted to have them. When they started to fail Andy tried to wash his hands of the situation like the piece of shit that he is. Waterloo is failing, Resorts is failing. Rivers isn't in danger but they aren't doing well either. The only one making money is the one he didn't want.

Like I said, they will modify their target customer. They also are stepping up to bigger entertainment in 2020 with the likes of Springsteen and Billy Joel.
wait but you blamed the Asians for Resorts Catskills losing 40-50 million a quarter. It's simply not true. You've twisted and turned this in a way that it doesn't resemble the thread that was started. Genting is pushing to decouple whether or not you like it. I've had dealings with some of their suits. They hate racing and they make no bones about it. So Springsteen and Billy Joel are both going to play Resorts? Bruce and Billy play stadiums(except for Billy's monthly at the Garden) and Bruce won't play a casino.

Try and keep up. They are putting up a band shell for concerts near the water park. Non gambling Asians are why the casino is losing money. They are going to change their marketing plan. No way Genting is going to give up Woodbury opportunity which they will have to do if they get rid of racing. Sports Book is already a huge success. Last Sunday was packed.
YOU keep up. A few busloads of chinese from the city are FAR from the reason that Resorts World Catskills is failing. They WAY overbuilt. It cost too much money and just the interest payments on A BILLION DOLLARS is killing them. I have contacts there too. They aren't giving the same packages that the Sands is giving.
