Are harness drivers the laziest mother fuckers around? Chody takes off drives after 2 races? One where he was on the favorite and showed zero interest?

I'd be interested in Mr D's appraisal which I'm sure would be more informational than mine.

I'm guessing no, it wasn't fixed but the race did have some of the variables that could have some second guessing.

Winner from 10 post goes gate to wire at 24-1. To be fair, this 5 yr old does fit at nw of 3 k. And was getting Roy (an aggressive driver), had shown speed in past and wasn't a ton of speed to his immediate inside.

Mare had been racing not too far back (Feb this yr) in NW of 5 but had dropped to nw 3k and been breaking.

Returned after layoff on June 3 with hobbles. Argurably that was test race with hobbles on. Showed speed from 8 post but faded. Last night was all go.

Obvious favorite (4) broke - Henry looked to be fighting gelding who has had breaking problems in Pat.

9 probably made ticket.

Thanks for your insight.

I trust his view much much more than mine. 10 really only got a light challenge @ the far turn.

Payoff I didn't get last night either - did quick math and lost me.

I'd buy the late P4 on the screw more than the high 5. The 10 one could argue got let go but the next 4 in the high 5 outside of the 9 weren't impossible.  The 7 which was a little pricey had been in the top 5 last 5 races at this level. So that one you had to have 3rd, 4th or 5th.

Anyone know where the ticket on h5 originated? Not that same guy in Western Canada?  ngc3

I just got an e-mail from Mohawk the payoff posted was wrong it was calculated as 2 winning tickets therefore a 40,000 payout. it was recalculated after the error was discovered and the payout was about 3400 and the jackpot grew to 73000. they should have posted something about this somewhere
