Don’t think he is the only one that has one
-
The Mcintosh name has seen better days

Lustra's Big Guy

SAME WITH STOCK PRODS AND VARIOUS TRANQUILIZERS AND MILD PAINKILLERS...ALO NG WITH THE BOX ASK ZOOT
-
I do not see that owning a diagnostic instrument should be a problem.
Except it's against the rules.
-
the rules were changed awhile back in Ontario, where only vets could have black box machines....in years past trainers having these was as numerous as walking machines...………..for Mcintosh it was probably more about saving $ than doing something nefarious
-
Was it a sofa machine or for checking bloods?
-
THERES MORE THAN 1 AT THE FARMS NEAR POCONO
-
At that time Robinson had it all down pat and then his vet had his license revoked by the ORC and the walls started to crumble around Robinson and his sons with the barn checks.
if that vet was RR, he is back as a licensed owner with Pat Sheppard
-
He is still a licensed vet, practicing in Ontario, working with horses.
-
to be fair, I think he just has 1 cheapie racing at Flamboro
-
If you have a gas machine that means that you are tubing horses with baking soda and whatever else and are chequing how much more you can give.
That`s the reason a majority of horses are on lasix. They give you a few extra points for blood gas count.
I am sure that Bob was not the first one with a black box, BUT in order to be close to competitive in today's world you have to resort to this kind of warfare.
-
Duke .... right on about Laxix, although I don't think a majority are on it.
Why do you think 90% of some trainers horses are on Lasix and others have none on it.
HHMMMMMM !!!
What a joke.
I've owned 8 horses and none of them needed Lasix.
I've seen trainers with upwards of 75% of what they have racing, on it.
-
Bob has been a crook since the early 70's when i started in the business here in the Mi/Canada area,a true low life drug artist,he will rot in hell
-
My buddy Dave got caught with a black box at the Jug in ‘98. Wife caught him. Man she was pissed.

I am surprised it took this long for the black box joke.
-
I took Yonkers entries this Friday 22ND and I could of taken any track.
Horses racing 98
On lasix 79
SO 80.6 % OF HORSES ARE ON LASIX.
BEST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN IS ELIMINATE LASIX.

every horse bleeds, to a certain extent, under the stress and strain of racing. some bleed more than others. some only break capillaries deep in their lungs while others break larger vessels all the way out through their nostrils and the blood comes dripping out of their nose. the more often they bleed noticeably the more likely they are to bleed again and the accumulation of blood in their lungs makes them more susceptible to lung infection. if Lasix is allowed, it is definitely a beneficial drug.
-
North America less California now is the only place in the whole world that allows lasix. 80% bleeders is high and I doubt that number is representative of bleeders. It`s only used to mask other drugs and give you a few extra points in the blood/gas department. It would be interesting to see how many of Allard`s horses are on lasix.
-
To answer my question: Allard is racing 19 horses at Yonkers 3/22 and 3/23 and Sat at Pocono.
All 19 horses are on lasix.
The intent of this drug is NOT to help cheaters to Tube horses at will.
I think that it safe to say that 100% of Allards are on lasix and probably a few more gas trainers if you check.
LASIX NEEDS TO GO.

I'm sure cash and bitcoin need to go to cause some people do illegal stuff with it. How about holding vets accountable for letting them put a non bleeder on it.
-
I forget the name but a year ago Allard gave an interview on a horse, I can’t remember the exact quote but said the horse was sound and didn’t bleeed a bit, yet the horse in question was on Lasix. How can you tell the public the horse doesn’t bleed yet justify racing him on lasix?

Good points. Let's not forget the benefit of expelling fluids. Fluids weighing as much as 30 pounds.
-
Because every horse should race on lasix!
-
It`s not nonsense as they all bleed to some extent. Lasix will also lower blood pressure and help to calm one down. I`ve been on it myself for the last 7 years and it hasn`t hurt me and I take it every day. It can only help the horse.
-
It`s ridiculous because every jurisdiction gives a different amount. In PA. you get up to 10 cc`s of lasix and 4 of amicar if you want, in Ontario you get max 5 cc`s NO amicar.
-
By the time your horse races
The 10 cc of lasix does nothing therapeutic
-
I wish Mr MacIntosh all the best.
First horse I jogged was at his place.
God Bless Bob and family.
