1st race Chester today misses on a can't miss.

EASY show prices for 2 others of $8.00 and $23.40.

And watch the replay to see just how pathetically indecisive and lost old Dexter was.

Good to see you and Lucpark know what you are talking about. He's won 2200 plus races driving in NZ where there are only like a dozen meetings throughout the country in a week,  in fields that are sometimes twice as many as here.

He has a career 19.7 winning percentage which isn't too bad considering they drive up each others asses and have 14 plus horse fields in many of the races.

He's not going to be successful until he gets more drives on better horses.

Racing here is totally different and anyone with a brain knows that it takes time to acclimate. Quite a few of the top trainers have used him on their horses.  He may turn out that he does not adjust to US racing but if you notice he has been winning races as opposed to when he got here. And he's driven a few longshots.

He's won the driving title over there 10 years in a row and is by far the fastest to 2,000 wins over there.

I swear to God some of you that post here are devoid of sufficient brain cells in making judgements before even giving the guy a chance.

Lucpark hit the nail on the head as he usually does.

I think some people here are pissed because they lost money on him. That is probably the only reason this thread got started.

Top trainers using him--maybe he brought his recipe with?  I like how he was raided while over here.

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=12119144

Quote
Two champion harness racing drivers are among those involved in a wide-ranging police investigation into alleged race-fixing.

Blair Orange is one of several people being interviewed by police after raids around New Zealand yesterday, and a search warrant was executed on the home of Dexter Dunn.

Orange broke the New Zealand record for wins by a reinsman in a season when he won the national premiership with 232 winners for the season, breaking his friend Dunn's premiership rein.

Dunn is in the United States but the Herald has learned that police yesterday searched Dunn's home and truck and took away a computer.

Eight properties were searched when Operation Inca saw stables raided and trainers and drivers escorted off their properties for questioning.

It is understood police have been monitoring the communications of harness racing identities with phone taps for up to 18 months.

Police had expected to begin making arrests and laying charges yesterday afternoon in an on-going investigation that appears to be focused on betting.

Police Detective Superintendent Tim Anderson said search warrants were executed in Christchurch, Manawatu and Invercargill and more would be carried out later this week.

Yeah let's celebrate a guy who was cheating so much the police decided to investigate him for 18 months. Gee, I wonder why harness racing is so dead.

The race in question, he won it and Matt Anderson stiffed the favorite.  This was from June 8th this year. He didn't stiff his horse, now the question is did he know all this was going on and the fact that they tapped a shitload of phones then maybe he did or didn't. Those arrested had their ages listed and two had their names suppressed. He is not one of those as he is 28 and there were no 28 year olds listed. The ages of the two suppressed are not 28 either.

It's his brother and others that go back 18 months.  His brother was arrested. Dexter has spoken to the authorities back home.

According to his boss who he works for over there, he had nothing to do with it and certainly not drugs.  Having said that, if he's on tape or it's proven he did something wrong then he needs to be punished.  They raided most of the people involved in that race so that does not mean he did anything wrong but like I just said, if he did, then he deserves what is coming to him.

I won't pretend to know how NZ law works but I'd imagine their standard for getting a warrant to tap a phoneline is fairly high. There has to be some probable cause that Dunn is involved in some manner to have a phone tapped for 18 months.

He’s tied for 2nd in wins to that no nothing Gingras.
You can’t find fault with him, can you?

Gingras Yannick

Callahan Corey

Napolitano Anthony

You're using a fucking 47 drive sample. Give me a break. How many of those Gingras drives were for Burke? Oh right zero because he's suspended. Drawing any kind of conclusions from a 47 drive sample shows how clueless you truly are.
Title: Re: Dexter Dunn
Post by: Powerful Patricks Ghost on January 14, 2019, 12:33:12 AM
You got something against this guy?
If he was 1 for 47, you would accept these stats.

No, I wouldn't because a sample of 47 for a driver that will have over 10x that many starts isn't representative of anything. Just as I wouldn't say a trainer, say Richard Moreau, who has started off the year something like 1-34 is a bad trainer because of that stat. Both Dunn and Moreau will have negative and positive regression, respectively.

And notice when his horses are beat they finish near last and he does not punish them. Looks after them

Back home they run clockwise as well and also run on grass. Standing starts as well (I do not like SS's).  Huge fields and they race much closer so if you can with there, you can win anywhere.

David Miller actually drove a winner on the grass over there from a stand in a trotters race. Miller could win anywhere.

Been watching this guy before i made any comments

now i feel i have seen enough

seems to me his timing is off at M1... he seems to be moving too late too often when the race has been decided ... or he gets caught a lot when trying to cut it

his drive on Bettors Wish in the M1 Pace was not well thought out

i agree with Juice Junkies

Facts:

The local police/feds raided his home and truck near the end of 2018, while Dunn was in the U.S.

They apparently seized a computer in this raid.

Dunn has been back in N.Z. apparently, for court hearing(s).

The authorities also raided several other homes, and questioned other drivers/trainers.

Those questioned included: Blair Orange, Kristin Barclay, and possibly Ken Barron.

Trainers whose properties are understood to have been visited by police include, Barron, Nigel McGrath, Mark Purdon,
Natalie Rasmussen, John Dunn, and Andrew Stuart.

I have no information of any arrest(s) made.

Absolute bullshit. The cops have dropped charge after charge. There is no case for most involved. A disgruntled POS caused all of this. Dexter didn't fix shit. There were no betting anomalies. The person who started all this is a guy named Kyle who was out to get revenge on some of the people involved. Dexter is not wanted for anything. Apparently, this is a huge embarrassment for the police. The Racing Integrity Unit is now going after some of them because that's how it started.

Bullshit. He was not charged, will not be charged and that whole Operation Inca was a bust, (pardon the pun). They spent millions and for the races concerned, there was no race fixing proven. Even trainers not involved in it are really pissed at the RIU. All because some informant was pissed at someone and fabricated a bunch of shit

A couple of people pleaded to drug charges (MDMA) and were fined. One guy had the charge dropped by the judge as it would have cost him his license. That POS later beat the shit out of his girlfriend and half strangled her and threw her off his property/. That scum will be going to prison

In another incident that just happened in the last few months, Mitchell Kerr who started out training the last few years turned in his training license, and all horses removed from his property. A complaint has been handed to the police to investigate.

That inquiry was over 2 years ago, Im not sure what happened or if anyone was ever even charged??? I dont know if he did it or not, but if they had real evidence he would have been charged by now???
