Horse looked fantastic against weak field but did it with ease. Could very well end up in the conversation at years end. Clearly, too early to tell. He let Tetrick drive her couple times last year with no chance posts and trips. Like to see someone other than LaChance but doubt we will. Bold statement to make after one race but time will tell.

I hate when trainers/drivers stiff. as far as drugs go,as long as they pretty much stick to the same recipe every week the form should be some what the same...when a guys out there not trying you have no chance of cashing your ticket..kid gave me a horse 1 day..I looked at book.horse had no shot.been beat many times by most of field.sure as shit wins by 5..later found out trainer/driver been stiffing last so many starts.. No good cockroach..hope he gets what he deserves for raping the public

At the very least when he saw 1st quarter only 27.4 he should of moved immediately. Okay, so he sits. He sees half goes 57.2....again should of been underway. I thought Penpal was a one trick pony also. I'd see her go early and give it up, however, tonight she made a big move to get the lead at the half and glided home from there. It was a nice mile from a nice horse with a competent driver. When one can finish in 26, they deserve accolades. As for drivers, we used to say back in the day, ....Good drivers win most of the time, good horses win all of the time.
Actually there was a great drive on a very good horse tonight at Meadowlands. McCarthy let all the crap clear, Took the lead at the quarter and never looked back on a horse that may be destined for good things, Dream Baby Dream. It was in my estimation a picture perfect drive. Of course that's surely not the only one but nice to see it done that way when you have the best horse.
