Title: Breeders Crown Night 2 Summary
Post by: JT on October 18, 2026, 11:35:15 AM
Just a few observations from sitting trackside

Last night had better weather and a better crowd.
It wasn't jammed by any means and it was still really cold, but the crowd size was disappointing and should have been better even though 100,000 people were at other events.
Next weekend will be better for weather and crowd size

The handle was about $900,000..averaging $64,000 per race up from the $700,000 on Friday that averaged about $54,000 per race. Better, but still pathetic

The races were average again, but these are elims, to be expected
I think you have to have elims, it rewards the sharpest horses right now

Top performances have to go..
Big Ranger..he will win the final, take it to the bank
Emoticon Legacy..Great open trotter, hopefully continues to race
Little Road..happy for Roger Hammer and Brady Brown
Gentleman's Club..who saw that coming, hell of a mile
Twin B Joe Fresh..won easily, maybe the goat of pacing mares

I still think Brandon Blvd will win the finals
No BJ, RRM, OOMM showed little
No walking to the half like last night

Finally..my brother and I are in the red $143 after 2 nights
Bet $363
Won $220
