UNDER BIDEN (2022):
Gas prices reached a record national average of $5.02 per gallon in June 2022.
Inflation skyrocketed to 9.1%, the highest level in approximately 40 years.
Grocery prices increased by 12.2% over the 12 months ending in June 2022.
Rising inflation and interest rates made housing increasingly expensive for American families.
UNDER TRUMP (OCTOBER 2026):
National average gas prices: $4.33 per gallon.
Annual inflation: 3.7%.
Grocery inflation: 1.8% annually.
Core inflation: 2.6%.
LET’S PUT THINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE!
Everyone has the right to criticize a president, but economic discussions should be based on facts, not just political opinions.
Gas prices and inflation were significantly higher at their 2022 peaks than they are today.
That doesn’t mean everything is cheaper now. Prices remain elevated, and gasoline has also risen considerably during 2026. Economic conditions are influenced by global events, government policies, and decisions made by the Federal Reserve.

I wasn't a big fan of Biden's, but as far as inflation being extremely high at their peak in 2022, I attribute much of that to COVID, as manufacturers increased prices dramatically to make up for lost revenue during COVID which was at its peak in 2021. In my opinion, it wouldn't have mattered who was in office then because inflation was going to skyrocket.

I only wore a mask when it was required such as at a doctor's office or in a supermarket. Even though some people didn't believe in the vaccine in my opinion it saved millions of lives. Some people I know were reluctant to take it because it came out so quickly without being tested enough.
I was in the hospital for 4 days with COVID in July of 2020 about 6 months before the vaccine came out.

The one vaccine which turned out to be a big flop was the Johnson & Johnson one dosage one. They thought they were going to make a killing with it, but it totally backfired on them.
