After spending over $1.7 million in taxpayer funds on campaign-style ads that multiple legal experts called illegal, the Trump administration announced it would switch to using Trump's own money or MAGA Inc. funds. Michael McFaul connected it to Donald Trump Jr.'s wedding, where a Russian oligarch originally contributed to costs, and which Trump Jr. has since reportedly covered himself after the story went public.
