When people who care come together and save the life of a Standardbred that's been trashed by this "industry" it always feels good. Thanks to Martha Faraday of Brother Bear Foundation for pulling a mare named Tessel from a pen. Then my sharing her being "saved" and in need of help to Equine Advocacty Alliance. And finally Leon Bailey for recognizing the mare, asked me who to contact and immediately sent the funds to secure her so she can be reunited with her family of Kayla and Ann, it's nice to report that at least ONE Standardbred who was created for profit will live out her life just being a horse. Martha this year alone has pulled 38 horses, 37 of them STANDARDBREDS. Do I need to say anything else? Just one woman who runs a small rescue has 37 of them, what does that say about your "industry"?

Great news for Tessel finding a forever home. Martha Faraday sounds like an amazing lady. And Leon Bailey showed a lot of class helping out too! Great job done by all!

There is little doubt that it takes a collective effort to help these horses. I thank you for the part you play in saving these horses.

I was telling Martha more about the industry and how there's minimal aftercare by the majority. How the states fund it and even reward the breeders. BUT, there are people out there who do care, just nowhere near enough of them to absorb them all.

It actually pisses them off when something good happens. Reality hurts. Know why they dislike what I do? I'm the opposite of them who want these animals to disappear after they're done with them. I make bad for business. Which is true. Boo hoo hoo hoo.
