EXCESSIVE OR INDISCRIMINATE USE OF WHIP
PA Code Title 7-205.409(c) Brandon Cruse did have an exaggerated whipping motion not
restricted to wrist and elbow action only and raised his arm above shoulder height at the top
of the stretch and in the stretch while driving #2 GIDGET LAUXMONT in the 10th race on
8/28/26 at Harrah’s Philadelphia Racetrack. Mr. Cruse Is fined $500 and issued a thirty day
driving suspension from 9/5/26 thru 10/4/26. This is Mr. Cruse’s eighth whipping violation in
2026 and eleventh in the last calendar year. Future whipping violations will result in more
severe penalties (FINES ARE DUE WITHIN TEN DAYS OF THIS RULING). Mr. Cruse has
ten days to appeal this decision to the PSHRC, Bureau of Standardbred Racing. The

I think the Allan Davis horse you were thinking of who used to always run 2nd to stay in the same class was Best Night Ever.

Does he even have 50 drives this year? Seems like he gets a violation every drive. No hands at all just goes to the whip. Who would use him anyway? I think he’s also been suspended for human positive tests also.

Horse got so tired of racing for second, he lost his will to pass anyone after that. Still a nice horse but he deserved better in my opinion.
