They are well aware of what's going on at a few state capitols right now, it's not good and their names are all over it. He is no different than others who have seen things he wants to change. How anyone can disagree with his efforts concerning the carriage horses in NYC truly amazes me. As for someone's livelihood, if the sport is corrupt and unethical, then I'm for anyone who can prove it.

It all exposes how they don't give a shit about Standardbreds, if they knew the actual story they would know that it was a Standarbbred named Ryder "Hi Ho Cheery O" that I saw on a newscast and then his freeze brand. At the same time Joe Faraldo was saying freeze brands should be eliminated as obsolete and hard to see. That lead me to Central Park and I first met Edita Birnkrant. I never saw a carriage horse up close in NYC and had NO idea they also used Standardbreds. Then I got involved thinking they could do better. Nope, it's disgusting. And if any of you people here think it's ok then you're just as bad. Which wouldn't shock me since the scumbags posting here like cowards about me are the same one's who jam God knows what into racehorses then send them to slaughter in the end. I think this site is where some people "bust other people's balls". Not everyone is the same on here. I have watched the videos of Mike on TV. Public officials by his side. And it's an important topic. Some here on Plop care.Some don't. And you're right. His crusade here on Plop probably means little. But someone must care. Over 50% of the posts on "harness racing" is about him.

Great Dougie ..... If you are talking or messaging with Mike, tell him what a substantial difference he is making in the horse world, spreading his word and arguing with anonymous people on Horse Plop.
I would tell him ..... get the hell off of here completely and use the saved time and energy to interact with people that have the connections and where with all, to help you enact change.

From what I know, he's doing both. Inside and outside of Plop. The big question I have to ask is. Are all the ones who hate him truly anonymous? Or do some of them, in the biz for many years, truly know each other for real? Maybe the tirades toward him are on a truly personal level.

When I say some of your advocacy may be on a personal level, I'm not referring to your love of horses but rather your advocacy may be based on a personal hatred for some of the horsemen you go after.
