A 3yo four race pacing series, not 3 like the t-bred triple crown or whatever they're fucking doing now historically that "no one" follows...
Open to 3yo boy, girl horses and trans horses ngc3
A big stakes on a...
1 mile
3/4
5/8
1/2
$1 mil purse each.
Same points / money rules as the KYD starting at 2 yo.
20 set to go in race one elims, each pay a $25k supplement each. Narrow down to 8 and same day final.
20 entrants x 4 races x $25,000 = $2,000,000 four race winner take all bonus.
Plus the $500,000 winner share x 4 from the races = $2,000,000.
Total $4,000,000 potential for one horse to win. No winner of all four races bonus split it among the top 5 finishers of the four events like a purse.
One hour televised event for each racing series. Tape delay on the elims, and live final.
Race every 3 weeks and wrap up in 2 months.
One race bigger than the triple crown. (Actually 8 races as elim and final same day tmbz1)
I like it - The Four Crown Jewels of Harness Racing.

Send it over to the progressives at the USTA, Hambletonian and breeders crown committees

Make it a two hour event possibly.
Think of the fractional sales commercials who sponsor along with big name brands that want to be connected.
The phones, websites will be blowing up with new clientele to buy into a horse.
You want to save harness racing...just a thought ;D

Just send the Checks to the Burke Stable and save the wear and tear on the horses, equipment and everything else involved! tmbz1

I like the idea Trig
To bad the higher ups are completely out of ideas of what needs to change and how to go about doing it, to make racing even a little relevant again.
The only problem with an idea like this is the states sires stakes programs are so lucrative with purses and sometimes easier fields
You try to solve that by huge purses and bonuses
I got your tracks
Mile: Meadowlands
7/8: Mohawk
5/8 :Meadows or Pocono or Oak Grove
1/2: Delaware of course ;D

Is Mohawk a 'fair playing' track? Isn't the Mohawk first turn exactly the same as when it was greenwood?
Does Vernon have a better surface than Mohawk/Hoosier?

I forgot Hoosier was a 3/4 track.
I try to forget about Hoosier as much as possible ngc3 unless I'm rooting Rocky's horses on or a horse or big stakes lands there.
The 4 Crown Jewels / 4 different track circumferences, rather than the 3c at 1 1/14, 1 3/16 and 1 1/2.
Track size based on draw, huge difference, facing a different type 1 mile challenge.
