Title: A new 2026 Stallion at Winbak has breeders eyebrows raised
Post by: captaintreacherous on July 13, 2026, 08:22:50 AM
One of the very few standardbreds to actually contest all

(4) Grade 1 races at ages 2 and 3 and make the Finals

was the Herb Holland trained Captains Quarters..

The Metro Champion narrowly missed in the Pepsi

North America Cup and split heats in The Jug.

The consensus is he is from the hottest family in

the sport....and we researched that fact and here

is what we found on Google AI:

Dam is multiple Stakes-Winner, Prescient Beauty, p, 2, 1:50.4 ($495,860)

1/2-sister to O'Brien & Dan Patch Award Winner, Sportswriter, p, 3, 1:48.3 ($1,649,411)

Full-sister to O'Brien & Dan Patch Award Winner, Precocious Beauty, p, 1:50.1 ($869,920)

Dam of Tall Dark Stranger, p, 3, 1:47.1 ($2,365,549)
Horse of the Year

Family of Downbytheseaside, p, 3, 1:48.3f ($2,283,068), Swingtown, p, 3, 1:49.2f -'25 ($1,368,436), & Whichwaytothebeac h, p, 1:48.4s -'24 ($1,053,737)

Dang.

Actually, very few horses of the modern era successfully

navigated the gauntlet of these (4) Grade 1 events.

The chances of actually participating , let alone securing

a spot in the Finals of these events stands at

Millions to one.

I see this Stallion is standing at Winbak in Canada...

while Nijinsky is in New York and Legendary Hanover

in New Jersey.
