Title: Favorite In Yonkers Race 1 Was "Rough Gaited" ?
Post by: makingit on July 07, 2026, 08:15:28 PM: What's the difference between a break and rough gaited? Would "RG" rough gaited be a reason for disqualification in a race if there was a dead heat? Or would the horse have to "break" to be disqualified?

Post by: Lockedin with Pace on July 07, 2026, 08:52:15 PM: A rough gaited horse can make skips without completing going off stride and not be DQ'd unless one of them caused interference to another horse When a horse makes a break he goes completely off stride and can be DQ'd if he violates any of the breaking rules

They should also have DRG for drugged. Then of course, that would be in a lot of horses lines.
